CHRISTMAS 2006

Christmas

’Tis Christmas-time for all on earth;
A baby-boy will soon be born;
To give joy, peace- both things of dearth;
On a wonderful Christmas- morn!

The baby in the manger is
The ‘Lord of lords’ and ‘King of kings’!
He brings mankind the divine bliss
Of Redemption of human beings!

Oh, what a freezing night so cold!
The star of Bethlehem, behold;
The story of Christmas retold,
And glittering things get sold!

But Christmas is not ‘pomp and show’:
God gives a Savior, we all know;
And Santa Claus and gifts all, Oh,
And festooned Christmas –tree with bough!

’Tis time for cakes, pastries and gin;
’Tis time to truly look within;
’Tis time to say ‘Good-bye’ to sin;
A war against the devils win!
