World Brotherhood and Love
We live on earth and share one sun;
Destined to die, with bickering,
Like Emotions, joys, suffering;
Of Adam, Eve born, we are one.
By sweat of forehead, man must toil
To raise up food-crops from the soil;
With pain in womb, woman must bear
And bring forth children, dark or fair;
This rod of God, all humans wear!
All made from dust, we bite the same;
From birth, we sin; do works of shame;
We slog all life in vain for fame;
With hate, we live, forget life’s aim;
For good and bad, we must take blame.
The world God made was truly good;
His love of man, ill-understood;
God gave us freedom, pow’r and food;
In life’s journey, His divine Word;
Alas, To love neighbours, to man looks odd!
