IN SILENCE

In silence I hear the choir singing
The song of ages. I've learned to listen
As silence mends my soul like
The very Hand of my Savior.
Silence ushers me to the
Gurarded tomb where soldiers
Knew that the crucified One lived--
That the grave could not keep
Him down.
In my quiet time I am healed from
A past where my burden was
Unbearable . In silence I hear "My
Yoke is easy and My burden is light."
(Matt. 11:28-30).
In silence I look into the eyes of
Love and I know that love is not
About the object of my affection
But...the silence has taught me that
Love is about disclosing the secrets
Of Eternity as I am changing to give
What I could not give on my own.
Love is not self-seeking but
Rejoicing in another's healing, another's
Blessings and their ability to feel loved.
In silence I've changed. In silence
I've touched the Hand of love--the
Hand that has changed me, healed me,
And raised me.
In silence...I love. Coming out from silence, from that
Quiet time where I meditate and ponder
My reason for living...for being, for the very
Breath I've been given when I once was
Caught in a downward spiral that
Nearly took my life,
I give you my love.
