Love that expects love in return

Ain't love at all

For love is meant to be given

Without expecting anything at all

To love selflessly,

To give in your all

To be there with a helping hand

When your beloved is about to fall

To stand next to them like a tree

To walk with them like a shadow

To make them feel free

and promise them a better tomorrow

Is what I call as love

Always ready to give as much as you have

To want them to hold you near

A fear of losing them in some corner of your mind

To expect them to speak in words

so that you can hear

To be unable to read each others mind

Aint love at all

For love is to understand everything,

Without saying anything at all

I have loved someone like this

and I care not if I am not loved in return

For I know my love is pure and that -

what I had to give, is given.

I move no further than this,

nor do I wish to return

I stay where I am,

There for him, in case he needs me

He would always see a friend in me.
