voice of guilt by cyclopseven

silent indeed
the voice of guilt
hiding behind the shadow
locked in a vault
in vain attempt of escapism
from the wrong done
can’t be undone
in time it may die
but in conscience it dies not.

that guilt is murderous indeed.

The Playground

Words and emotions
playing with my mind,
moods,
like a see-saw,
rocking my world.

Nights and days
make no difference,for
thoughts of you,
like a merry-go round,
linger on and on.

Fantasy and reality
taking me through smiles and tears
soul of mine,
swings to and fro
a little high and then low.

Searching and groping
wading through deep pools
trying to find myself,
slipping and sliding
i tumble on .............

tunnel

a journey into the unknown
always a scary sojourn
between death and life
where the known remains unknown
the unknown remains known
and helpless I remain
staring at the vision at the end
I pray fervent for a voluntary end.

The Home-leaving!

Blame not your mother;
Blame not your father;
Blame their old age, brother;
Things will be fine, other!
Parents sometimes blunder!
When love in excess flows,
Directionless, it goes;
Some hatred too, it shows,
When it exceeds the dose!
The wheel of fortune turns;
Till then, some anger burns;
Life, sorrow and love, churns,
Until lessons, man learns!
“Mother, must I have to leave our home today? ”
“Father, do I have to quit our place this way? ”
“Brother, don’t you have anything to say? ”
“Sister, won’t you intercede for me this day? ”
“God, help me to take the right decision, I pray! ”
But things have gone beyond a certain point;
Perhaps, I ought to leave this family-joint;
My heart still tells me to ignore and stay;
“Yet, I must go! ” Will not someone say, ‘nay?
’I stayed for years with parents, since my wedding-day;
‘But I must go! ’ only my parents say;
My sorrowing heart cannot remain still gay;
The ones who brought me forth, I must obey!
My parents slogged all life for children’s sake;
Their love for me can never be a fake;
Their debt of up-bringing and love, I take;
Them to realize their mistake, Please God make.
May be, this is a blessing in disguise;
May be, God wants to make me pretty wise;
May be, God tests me whether I am nice;
May be I must work hard and avoid vice.
Yet, time and tide are not in my favor;
Fate has played a cruel trick, quite clever;
This state of things cannot remain forever;
The love of kith and kin, none can sever!
I leave this lovely home with a heavy heart!
Whatever happened, I didn’t wish to part;
Misunderstandings cropped up from the start;
The truth will prevail after I depart!
I leave our home with a heavy heart.

Google

Google

To google every morn with eager eyes
is serendipity dawned on you,
each new item enthralls and fascinates
a pleasing exercise for your mind and eye,
a delightful delve into the river of information
and knowledge, a pastime and perfect
diapason with the computer:
I browse, talk, chat and sing
and sing along the music of cd
to ward off your melancholy,
I google, google with a gleeful gain.

The Elderly These Days!

The younger birds have flown off far away!
Their parents aged are left alone today;
The nest looks empty, silent, everyday;
O Lord, show us your way- they pray!

Who cares who cares for elderly these days?
All children seem busy in their own ways;
Mere solitude is what the world repays;
Oh, what a blot on modern human race!

What love was shown by parents in years past!
They look now weary, dazed, with eyes downcast;
They live in penury and sickness fast;
’Tis years, their near and dear ones saw them last!

Cannot all children understand their plight?
Neglecting elderly is never right;
God sees their bloody tears when children fight;
The elderly need food, comfort, care, sight!

Our parents kept us warm when we were cold;
All children have a duty to ones old;
The elderly need young shoulders to hold;
Their virtuous deeds are worth more than all gold!
