My Angel

My Angel

SEATED by the window
Hearing the sounds of thunder
Feeling a little mellow
I stared out with a shiver

I heard the pitter-patter
Knowing full well it was the sound of rain
Glancing at the rear-view mirror
I saw my face was filled with pain

As the night continued to rain
I continued to stare
My thoughts running wild
Just like the misty air

The trees started swaying
While the leaves rustled
As the wind continued blowing
And it continued to rain

I cuddled myself
With my blanket wrapped around
As tears continued to flow
While I stared into space

I was stranded in misery
Not knowing what to do
For I was beginning to think recklessly
Of the fate was to befall me

I was stuck with the weight of the world
That was lying on my shoulders
Resting against my soul
That was ripping at this moment

As I continued to cry my heart out
A sudden light shone above me
With that I was lifted up
And was left to stand on my own feet

I turned around
And saw the brightest light
Shining above me
That sparkled to white

For there stood a person who shone
Who lighted up my whole world
Blinding me with every step he took
My angel whom I had been waiting for.

When Love Dies

When love dies

A pall of gloominess envelops the heart
The crucial pain strikes through with a sharp cut
Yearning to be healed from the veins torn apart
Tarnished and withered, it steals your breath
For love dies not of a natural death
It dies from emotional wounds lashed, unhealed
Unreturned love to the vulnerable heart with no shield
Only time will help ease the sour and rinse the tears
Shedding of heavy feathers and soothe away fears
Let the death of old love pass on peacefully
So that the new roots of love can grow tenderly
Within the heart that once cherished love wholeheartedly.

A King’s Coronation

A King’s Coronation

Seated atop a cushion
Of gleaming gold and red
Is a crown made from passion
That is fit for the head of a king

The crown was encrusted with jewels
Ruby, sapphires and diamonds
Sparkling and gleaming with pride
They shone like stars in the night

Just like medieval times
A king was the ruler
And who would wear the crown
Other than the great man himself?

So on a fateful day
With the sun shining brightly
And the birds chirping loudly
A king’s coronation was to be held

Dressed in gleaming gold and red
Encrusted with bright jewels
Was a man of high post
Who was being introduced to the world

Head held high
With a solemn expression
Followed by hundreds of soldiers
Was the man who would be known as king

Meeting with the high priest
Who graced him with the bow
And introduced him to the throne
That was gleaming with red and gold

A footman held the cushion
With the crown seated atop
That was made with much passion
That sparkled and gleamed brightly

The whole courtyard became quiet
As everyone gasped in awe
At the sparkling crown
That was soon to be on the head of the king

The king made a public pledge
Then the high priest crowned the king
Cheering and applause followed
With the sound of trumpets

Borderless painting

Borderless painting

You are like a borderless painting
A masterpiece so passionYate and amazing
Brushing through with colours of life
Expressing all feelings of love and vibe

The laughter that you bring
Is like the birds that sing
Placing a life in my soul
Making me feel whole

The passion in your eyes
Is like the sun ready to rise
Releasing a ray of light in me
Brightening every thing; I’m free

Your heart beats a song
A rhythm of love so far, wide and long
It plays forever in my ear
So affectionate, sentimental and dear

You are like a borderless painting
A masterpiece so passionate and amazing
Brushing through with colours of life
Expressing all feelings of love and vibe

Take a walk around yourself : By Rajwinraj

Take a walk around yourself

When the cynical side of you emerges
And you feel the sharp tongue’s urges
To lash out the criticism you have for others
And strike them down like a bolt of thunder
Pause for a second and take a deep breath
Let those hurtful words sink to their death

Before you judge others with harsh words
To simply find fault with someone less absurd
Or pin down an innocent one to be the victim
Of office politics and failed negotiations as a mean
It is time for you to take that special walk
So tuck in your shirt and pull up your socks
Turn on the mode of silent stealth
For you need to take that walk around yourself

In the normal average of us all
We rise high but sometimes we fall
These are the many ups and downs in our lives
That keep us going to survive
But when you feel that you’re always better than the rest
Ready to crush down anyone in any contest
Be it belittling or squashing their dignity
It’s time you face your own reality
That is the time you ought to take the real test
To take a walk around yourself and undo the mess

Just before you judge another
Give yourself a break to ponder
Life needs an order of balance
That moment has come to your turn
Harmonise the state of your mind
Look deep inside and you shall find
Self-reflection appears on the shelves
When you take that walk around yourself.

Lost

Lost.......
in the journey of life
I died
and
don't ask me why.
