Man, Learn From Birds!
Who shows the young ones how to fly well?
Who teaches them how to build a nest?
Who reveals to them how to keep neat?
May be, their parents demonstrate how to do most things.
But,
Who tells them the secrets of their sex-act?
Who warns them of dangers that come nigh?
Who trains them to speak the language of birds?
God has in-built in them mechanisms for these!
And,
Birds never suffer diseases that afflict men;
They’re never lazy and lead a care-free life;
They fill the air with melodious tunes;
They fly better than aero-planes!
God protects them and feeds them so strangely!
Yet,
Every bird must work hard to find food;
From dawn to dusk, they search for food and drink;
They work united to build a nest upon a tree.
Parents do their duty of rearing young ones.
Still,
They will not do anything unnaturally;
They will not engage in long slumber;
They will not dream and waste precious time;
They do not blame their environs or fate;
They do not curse their birthday;
They do not question God!

My Father Great!
Who had a long life-span;
He lived a simple life,
Despite recurrent strife;
He had a humble birth
And a peaceful death;
He left children seven,
Wife and went to heaven;
He was a great teacher,
And a part-time preacher;
He loved his profession,
But not his confession;
A man of piety,
He lived in anxiety;
He prayed so fervently
To God and frequently;
He ne’er loved luxury,
And rarely was in fury;
With heart of compassion,
He hated a mansion;
He did his duty well,
And in the end fell ill;
All children cared for him,
Keeping him, neat and trim;
One day, he passed away;
His body stately lay;
Kith and kin wept with love;
And God said from above,
“This is a beloved soul,
Who fulfilled his great role:
Earned his heaven on earth,
Left a void by his death!”

Why am I so Dissatisfied?
God gave me a great life;
God gave me not much strife;
Why am I then dissatisfied?
God gave me a good job;
God gave me direction;
God gave me achievements;
Why am I then dissatisfied?
God gave mission divine;
God gave His vision fine;
God gave Will-power mine;
Why am I so dissatisfied?

Kalai : A feeling of resignation !
Should I still need to resign
and assign to the whims of fate?
Dried tears all down the cheeks
burn away my agony in the air !
Raw and raw they burn away the skin
and make my heart dub with pain !
Cool and cool the fresh air
makes me once again despair !
No one could come and repair
and set things to look fair !
Desperate with moments of failure
My days have lost their grandeur !
Let things happen as it happens to be !
Yet whatever happens is nothing to me !
Stealthily I slip into a comma of resignation
and make my dreams forget the destination !
Little warm hands shake my trance
and tell me still I have a chance !
Bubbling energy enters the day
and helps me to make my way !

New Year Resolutions
Spare time to read the Bible well;
Meditate upon the Word of God;
Live as per His expectations.
Have trust in God’s omnipotence;
Pay heed to His warnings in time;
Have God as Friend and Guide all life;
Keep your soul pure always by grace.
Do your duty: Leave the rest to God;
Ask pardon for sins committed;
Serve God: Ignore the world of men;
Be soul-wise in earthly life;
Walk/ run on ‘the Road to Heaven’;
Be soul-wise in earthly life.

Song Asking God’s Help
Of urgent help, I’m in need;
Help me God, O help I plead;
You’re my only friend indeed.
Help me God without delay;
I can’t make both ends to meet;
Help me God in every feat;
You’re my hope, so don’t retreat.
Who else will come to my aid?
In troubles, my heart is laid;
Help me God to see them fade;
You’re the One who helps me wade.
I have faith in You my God;
Send me Lord, a happy mail;
Let my soul always Thee hail;
You must help me without fail.

Happy New Year, 2006!
Gone is an old year;
Let’s add new cheer,
Live without fear.
Greet your neighbors;
Greet some strangers;
Greet all your friends;
And make amends.
’Tis never late
To change one’s fate;
Problems abate:
Wait for that date.
Forget past woes;
Forget chaos;
With hope, of course:
Thus, our life goes.
Abide in God;
Await His nod;
Avoid His rod,
And thank the Lord.
When God’s with us,
There is no curse;
Walk without fuss;
He sure will bless.
